You wanted a project and you got it! At lease keep us updated on how everything goes. The LT1 is a good motor, I had one, just a PITA to change spark plugs on..

                      Re: trading to an lt1

Well I'm finally able to start piddling with it. I've had to re-attach a lot of wiring, nothing too bad. I decided I wanted to paint the final product Hugger Orange. So I went to AutoZone and grabbed a can of the Dupli-Color Paint Shop. I know it's lacquer and probably wont last a long time, but it would give me an idea of what its going to look like. Heres some pics of the fender and bumper I've repaired and painted.

Damn, that's a hell of a gamble. Certainly doesn't look to be in good shape at all. I've been keeping an eye out in my area for an LS1 car that's been f-ed so I can yank out the drivetrain for a relatively hassle-free swap, but there are a lot of car enthusiasts here that snatch that stuff up. Good luck!

The motor has 2000.00 into it which means probably heads and cam and you said it was being sprayed with nitrous!! 2000.00 isnt going to be able to build a LT1 bottem end. Hell I dropped almost 3500 for my built 3.8 shortblock.. You wanted a project well you surley have one!!
