hey everyone, new member here i recently picked up a 2002 chevy camaro 3.8 and absolutely love it. ive loved f-bodies since i was a kid and now i have one at 21 years old. bought, paid for, insured, all that crap by myself.

i used to have an 87 iroc-z camaro which didnt work too well. the 2002 i plan to take very good care of.

i frequent njfboa.org which is a new jersey based fbody owner forum. just saying hi and hope to get some useful info out of here.

Nice looking car I had mine white for 13 years and had it painted black 2 years ago. Love it but like said its a pain to keep clean even in a garage. I bought mine new when I was 22, in Dec. 1995 I have had it ever since. Payed $17,800 back then for it. Good luck with the car.

Whats your plans for it?

i dont have major plans for it as of now. its my daily driver and i drive 40 minutes to / from school 3 times a week, and my girlfriend lives about 100 miles away haha. mostly cosmetics though, rims before next summer definitely. as far as performance, im looking into k&n filters, a lid, and maybe a tune. im not sure if i would like an aftermarket exhaust just yet. winter is coming up i dont want to mess them up..most likely chrome rims. definitely a set of new speakers im debating whether i want to put a sub in a stealth box..

thanks man. check out njfboa.org its new jersey based but theres a lot of good people who know a lot of good things about our cars. the car had 63k when i got it..the previous owner took obviously amazing care of it. im the second owner.
