There are two state troopers here in southeast, Indiana (Dearborn County) who are running unmarked Shelby GT-500's along I-74. Watching those guys fly up and down the highway is fun. Just hope they don't pull me over..

They do brake checks and turning manuvores so incase they have a high speed chase they know how thier car handles, J turns are done at the def. drifving course. They do get reg. maintance and suspesion checked so I'm not too worried. The kid had to replace a rear axle with a OEM one on one side since he hit a curb so thats why its Sat. intead of in my garage right now.LOL But with 2.73's and A4 it should get some great gas milage after I tune it with a wideband from my car, after the moding I hope to get it in the low 13's and still get great gas milage. Like said if my turbo 3.8 goes blown, all of the stuff from it will go to the 02' and I will buy a LS1 tub. K member and a light weight hood and add the 3.73's to get the LS1 in the 12's or high 11's.

Heres some pics from his add: Looks like its debadged

I don't see why not , it already has a black top, LOL I could just throw the doors and hatch off my car if it does blow up with the turbo ,so I wouldn't have to paint much.

                Re: Caving in-LS1

So I got the car fax on it but instead of 118,000 miles it says 161,000 on the carfax last emissioned on 8-24-10 , here in AZ. My question is how hard is it to mess with the digital OD's and change the mileage? And yes it was a Highway patrol car for 6 years, so he didn't lie about that, also in some more pics someone drilled holes in the front bumper for more air flow to the air dam. I'm talking not the center section but down at the bottom of the front bumper, also needs some interior pieces and theres no exhaust from the Y pipe back(but I was planning on longtube headers and running them straight back) but still diappointing. I just want to now about the 50,000+ miles and if the car doesn't show the milage how did he get them off?

It's either what Bibby said or he changed the odometer reading. But it's fairly difficult - I believe only dealer guys with a special kind of software can change it. And even then, I think you can only change it once. Don't quote me on that though..

depends on the cluster. but as long as you don't have the mileage show lower than a previous carfax, youre "good".

Reminds me of the day I bought my black '96 Camaro and 30 min later another dude tries to crash my party to ask if it was bought yet. I looked up and smiled as I waved the keys at him. I never saw a guy so incensed, his face turned to disgust and walked away from my Camaro.

Anyways, my stock SLP '02 SS LS1 scared me with sheer power and pure delight. The smile on my face couldn't be wiped off. It's a six speed and black so I had to have it no matter what. I finally succeeded with a certified bankcheck after doing a thorough reseach on this SLP Camaro. There was a lot of interest generated for this particular SS and I finally have it sitting in my garage now.

Good luck with your '02. Bang them gears!

He has in his post and he told me it had 118,000 miles but when he had it at MVD last month the milage was 161,000+ , the one before that was done by a independant emissions tester and showed 116,000 miles one month before, so in a month it picked up 50,000+ miles seems kinda of off. Now after I pointed it needs a new bumper and exhaust from the Y pipe back and I said I would buy it for $4500 he says hes just going to trade it in, LOL Good luck the regisration shows a Lien on it also, so I think he was a scammer. Oh well I'll keep on looking.

So the guy emailed me back, he said hes taking care of the lien and he would take $4500 for the 2002 LS1 Camaro. He said he will see what the title says for mileage. He says theirs no way it 161,000 but that what the carfax showed, becuase someone at one point rolled back the mileage it says on the carfax report. So I'm waiting to see if he gets the right mileage on the title. What do you guys think is $4500 still good for aWhite/black top, gray interior 02' LS1 Camaro 161,000 miles + that was a CA police crusier and has all the upgraded suspension and LS6 intake, cons needs new front bumper , exhaust from Y pipe back , and some interior pieces, what do you think?
