The point? cause i like the style of cowl hoods. I wouldnt see a problem with any mod so long as it was done because the owner liked the look and not because "it makes people think its fast". Hell i proudly display FREAKV6 on my tag, I want people to know it's a v6. All i'm saying is, someone without a 10 sec car shouldn't be limited on what appearance mods they have (because hoods are appearance mods) just because the fast guys use them. Same can be said for the bigs and littles, if its done for style. The parachute would even be a little ridiculous for me lol.

so let me get this straight. you think big and littles are for style? and hoods are only for appearance?
Do i think they are for style only? no, people use them for performance. and vice versa with the hood.
To use your theory, people shouldn't lower there cars because they like the way it looks, its should only be done if they are a heavy road racer and need the lower CG.
Just because something was originally meant for a different purpose, doesn't mean it can be used for a different application.

you can lower your car for performance reasons without being a heavy rod racer. and i agree with your statement I just think its a little silly to have a car that looks like a 9-10 second car, but its not.
fitting the appearence trend for a 9-10-11 second car would be putting (drag radials on/ a toe hook/gauges up the wazoo that you dont need/stickers on sponcers of parts you dont have lol/a roll cage and a race harness) i look for all of these things when someone tells me there car is a 10-11-even a 9 second car and if they dont have at least 2 or 3 of these things i dont even consider it....if the case were to arise where someone really did have all these things and only ran like a 13-14-15. haha. well then...god forbid they ever talk sh*t to me lol
lol if your really car savy you can really tell if the car is faster than a 13 just by listening to it.
certain mods will do certain things. just like the cam lope. how deep the exhuast is (which is a miner thing) if you hear whistles then you know there something more lol. after all these sounds are distinguished..its hard to tell what else is done to it besides full exhaust/cai and a cam. all you have left is appearence which goes back to my previous post.
Hey guys. For starters I’ve always been a big car guy, I love all types of cars and can appreciate all types of engineering. I’ve always been a Chevy...
