started installing long tubes on my trans am this weekend. what a major change from the v6's! I've done 10+ header installs on v6 f-bodys and gotten it down to about 3 hours. I had only done long tubes on an ls1 one time before with another friend helping. But so far I worked 5 hours this weekend with the wife passing tools and have only gotten out plugs, wires, y-pipe, mid pipe, the old headers, and the old motor mount clamsheels. I just called it a day because I had to order some vette 02s, gaskets, plugs, new bolts, and egr delete plate. once those come in itll be back to the garage to put in the long tubes, not to mention the rest of the exhaust laying on the other side of the car haha.
