  • ls7 clutch question

I know most of you guys have v6 cars but I have a question about the ls 7 clutch. I just ordered 1 and was wondering how hard and long the install is and if it made you happy in terms of performance.
    thanks

      Re: ls7 clutch question

From what i have seen with it, its pretty straight forward. My friend installed one in his 01 Z and told me it was like any normal clutch install. I know you will need the ls2 flywheel with it though, but i assume you knew that.

When I get a new 2011 Camaro SS/RS or 2011 Corvette LS9 or even a 2011 2500 ext. GMC 6.0 , I'll talk V8's with ya. LOL Yes the LS7 is straight forward and will hold up very well unless your running alot of HP. What year LS1 do you have and what mods done to it? Any track times?

Pretty straight forward. Heard allot of guys not liking the ls7 clutch though, its for a corvette for a reason. But some love it. Hell I got an auto so I could careless, GL, let us know how it goes.

Engine mods... not a whole lot. Just your basic bolt ons. Lid, full exhaust, ls6 intake, tune. I also ordered a stb from ws6store while I was at it. Been meaning to get one of them...

Nothing different than another clutch install. LS2 flywheel; LS7 disc and PP.

I dont know about you but I have f'ed shifing issues, just like many many others. Most say get a Tick MC but that sucker is $300+. So Im going LS7 clutch as well because there are a few ppl who say that has fixed their issues.

Did they happen to mention why they did not like the LS7 setup?
