Re: Some Pics of the TA

lol. I have OBX headers on my heap. They work pretty well considering what they cost. I don't think I'd pick anything up going to a much more expensive Kooks or similar. I wouldn't put a gear in it unless you're going to do a lot of racing. I'm all for going fast, but aftermarket gears usually make noise, plus it will make it chug gas. Converter, go for the Yank SS3600 at least. I'm going a 1.50 60' with an SS4000, and I think it would be a decent street converter as well.

Yeah I did a bit of research and they looked like the best bang for the buck as far as headers are concerned.

I am leaving the 3.23's until I do the H/C, then I will go 3.73 in a Dana 60they are a little heavier rearend but they are bullet proof.

My goal is to run low 11's in a streetable combo that meets emissions.

I have summits 4.10 gears in my 96 and they dont make noise at all. Depends who does the install from what I've seen/heard.

My guys good at those kinda things though.

Don't be so hasty about ditching the 10 bolt. Mines living through 1.50 60's, and I'll get a 1.4x out of it this year!!!! You really can't ask for much more. I've beat on this thing all season and it hasn't given me a single issue.

For every 1 person that gets a good setup, i've heard 100 complaints. Not worth it in a street car IMO.

I made somewhere between 350-500 dragstrip passes on my 94TA's 10 bolt.

I know they can be tough and live in an A4 car.

When I sold the 94TA as is I found out from the buyer it had a bad bearing and a slightly bent axle, that was it.

Re: Some Pics of the TA

I hope the obx headers are better than the ones they make for some of the older hondas. I tried to install a set on my little brother's del sol, and the o2 sensor wouldnt fit (location was blocked) and the downpipe extended down about 20 deg. too far and out about 4 inches too far. Needless to say, he's running an open exhaust from the test pipe on back until I figure this biotch out lol

BTW, nice TA. I still miss my bird

                  Thanks I missed having a V8:burn:

I love my Pewter Firebird W68 Y87 too.

These headers are made real nice, the thread holes look clean, nice thick flanges ect.

I have a couple old 02's I can use to check them out.

A couple of my friends bought this header kit and they love them, one guy has a car the same colour as mine but with C5 Z06 Chrome rims and OBX's.
