Anyone have one?? I was just in the U.S picking up parts monday and I nabbed the 625ft lb impact at Harbour freight while I was there...F'n LOVE this thing...just whipped out the head studs on the new motor on the lowest setting and squeezed the trigger half way...When I read the reviews on it guys were comparing it to the IR and snap on impacts...this thing makes me want to start the motor swap all over again

The real test will be both Crank bolts...I'm laughing if they come off like butter...if it wasnt for my 2 midterms tommorrow (that I havent started studying for yet) I'd be over there blasting away...

    Cool toy.

I got my 1/2 mastercraft electric impact with a 40pce impact socket set for $49.00.

    Its great for tire changes.

I still use the manual TQ wrench to get them to 100lb ft though.

I use the torque bar I got from princess auto...but my gun hasnt been powerful enough to usually put out the 100ft lbs lol...so I usually have a fraction of a turn (like 1cm) to snug them up to 100 with the torque wrench

Thats a good price though...where'd you pick that up?

the impact was on sale for $89.99...I got the extended 1 year replacement warranty for an additional 11$...came out to 110$ total...couldnt pass it up

Plus I didnt get charged duty :P

Love me some impact wrenches. We have an electric 1/2" drive Makita; I use that thing for as much as I possibly can. Just a little fyi though some normal sockets don't like impact wrenches, so if you haven't already I'd pick up some nice impact sockets so you're not breaking your good chrome ones.

I have one of those 1/2" impact, its nice when I'm working late and don't have to kick on the 28 Gal. compressor. They are very nice I used it for my steering wheel nut.

$90 for a harbor freight impact still seems high, Id rather spend the extra money to get a quality product that isnt made of plastic, toothpicks and old newspaper.

I was thinking the same thing...but a quality snap on is over 400$...I read the reviews, and my cheap campbell hasufield that came with my compressor is crapping out.

I read nothing but good reviews from it, apparent guys working at "shops" and many people that were comparing it to their snap ons. (only god knows why you would buy this when you also have a snap on...but sure)

Anyways, so far IMO it was worth the 90$...the real test is the two crank bolts on either engine...if it bangs those off without effort its more than worth its money...(last time it took me 6 hours to get that bolt off on my original engine)...I'll know in the next few days :D
