After 2.5 months of a turbo build, 1.5 months of driving it, and another 1.5 months of rebuilding the engine and taking it back to N/A, I finally got a chance to take some pictures of the car. I had to make a bracket to hold the grille since I had deleted the front bumper crash pad and support. Its still not fully done as I will be re-adding the fog lights and have to finish the bracket, and when I do that the bracket will be painted black so it doesnt stick out. Also the car will be getting a new exhaust sooner or later and the T/A tips will be deleted and replaced with turn downs.
White Mirrors and white door handles :) looks good, what did you do with your old turbo stuff?
Wait, Is that a V6 or V8? 1990 Chevrolet C-K 1500 series 4.3L .. 5spd
1994 JDM Euno Roadster 1.8L 5spd Bolt Ons.. etc 2000 Camaro 3.8L Auto Bolt Ons..etc
Sold the turbo, hotside, and boost controller. Still have the coldside and some lil things up for sale. Twas a sad day when I figured out I had to sell it all :(
Pretty much I put the turbo on, the oil feed line to the turbo go cut which spilled all the oil out of the engine while driving. Thought I saved the motor by shutting it off fairly quickly. Well about 2 months later I spun a rod bearing, most likely started when all the oil spewed out. I just got a job in my college town, and I thought it would start up soon enough to where I could afford rebuild the motor and still have enough cash to pay for school this coming semester all while keeping the turbo. Well the job isnt starting until next semester now, so in order to go to school and rebuild the engine I had the sell the turbo. Believe me, it sucked big time. I put so much work into that thing it was next to ridiculous. :(
I may agree on white door handles, but for now they are staying as is since the paint is 5 months old. lol.
And thanks! Lining everything up took a ton of time. I actually helped the guy who painted it measure and tape off the stripes. I wanted the 30th anniversary stripes, but finding specs on them was rather difficult. So we took a picture, did scaling measurements and transfered those measurements onto the car. It took a while, but totally worth it. :D
And here is one of the pics slightly edited. A guy on FTV6 was so kind to do it for me :D
Still trying to find oil leak on my Camaro, it’s a tough one. I think it is the oil pressure sender myself. Leaking when raving and going into boost....
