    Re: Who voted?

i did. best way to do it is request an absentee ballot. they mail it to you then you mail it back. no waiting in line or finding the closest poll place, etc.

I had a huge problem with the lines in 2008. I got in the same hour they opened the polls, and there had to be over 1000 people there, but it doesn't help when you have 4 local districts voting in the same place. This time around, they moved two of the districts out of where I have to go to vote, and I went during the middle of the day, so I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. Only problem was that I had to go back to Schaumburg (30+ miles north of me) to vote, because I forgot to switch over my district when I moved.

I grabbed three of those stickers, she handed me one, I snatched two more out of her hands. She laughed. Got back in the car and threw the one sticker on my hard hat.

I have to agree that all the commercials made it hard because all they did was bash eachother. I hate politics because of that. Last time I voted it was preidential elections and I voted for Ralph Nader. Obama won needless to say...

I was a little disturbed by the fact that they do not ask for identification. They asked for my last name, Asked if I was matt, or mark (my father) and that was it.

Shouldnt they be required to ask for ID's so theres no voter fraud going on?

There would be fraud regardless. Don't you remember Bush's election?

                    Re: Who voted?

I was in line and voted BEFORE they ran out ballots in southern CT. Most Democrats won here although I voted Republican for another round of change.

Canidate for Senate Linda McMahon, the head of the (WWE) World Wrestling Entertainment group, actually lost. That surprised me when I woke to morning radio.

Hoping for better years than 2009-2010.

Odd that they don't ask for your ID. Even in the small district that I vote in, you're supposed to present your license once at the front of the line and tell them your address and date of birth. Once they've confirmed that, sign and tell them whether to use paper or electronic ballot.

                      Oh, and I voted. :)

                        Re: Who voted?

Here in Houston we took down red light cameras this election which was a huge win. It was funny how before the interview all the city officials claimed how safety would be compromised, after the election the first words out of their mouth were along the lines of "you #### ####'s cost us $10mil/yr", what happened to safety LOL?!

Prop 1 passed however so it's going to be giving the city money to blow. They claim its for fixing flood drainage, but post election interviews show that the government intends to spend the money on anything and everything. No wonder we have a 80 million shortfall now.

I wasnt asked for my age, my address, or identification..

I was only asked what my last name was and to verify my first name.

                          Hmmph.

I didn't vote. I don't pay much attention to politics and I felt I wasn't well informed on where everyone stands. And I don't think someone should vote if they don't know.

Lame excuse personally. I have to be honest, its not like you have to know the individual you're voting for inside and out. You don't have to sit down for hours on end researching each candidate. I think some that don't vote think they HAVE to do this. I usually only vote for ONE reason. I don't care about their personality, their voting record in office, none of that stuff.

All you need is one reason to vote one way or another.

                                Food for thought:
Americans hate two things: A) Taxes, and B) Not having the things their taxes pay for.
