  • 150 MPH on a coaster?

Holy smoke... How can anyone handle those kinda speeds? I nearly black out on the 80 MPH (supposedly) Titan at the Dallas/Ft Worth Six Flags.

its not the speed that causes people to black out, it is g forces, its why people dont black out in an airplane traveling at 600mph

if that 150mph roller coaster puts less g's on your body as the one doing 80 does, then you probably wont black out. it sounds to me like your body isnt very tolerant of more than normal g forces

I've been on top thrill dragster; loved it. I must say though, getting my Camaro to hit 120 mph was more thrilling!

Look at those comments on the page. I don't think half of them understand what the initial launch would do to them. I love living like an hour or so away from cedar point. The top thrill dragster is pretty amazing. The wait for it has been horrible the last couple times I went but it really helped keep the other lines down. So I ride the wicked twister a couple times within an hour to make up for it haha! However, I've heard lines are were really short this year, like 15-30min max for anything, but I never made it out.

I said nearly blacked out. :P
Titan starts out nearly straight down at 80MPH so that's the part that is crazy.

I just cant imagine doing a straight down section at anything over 100, lol.

lines were about 30-40 minutes for dragster this year, hell millenium force was the long wait, but we still managed to ride both in the 2 days there twice, probably could have done them both more but i wanted to hit everything. wifey totally blacked out on MF the second time, that 85ish degree drop and 90+mph speed kicked her *** lol. dragster is so fast you you cant even comprehend wtf just happened haha. goddamn it, now im ready for next year so i can go again.

That actually seems kinda boring... Cool it's fast and all, but where's the twists and turns, loops and such. Fast is good, but meh..

                          that looks awesome

I went down to the sixflags new jersey a couple years back and took a ride on the kingda ka, fastest (was) and tallest coaster. 128mph 3ish seconds and 450+ ft tall. Fricken awesome. They also got the nastiest wooden coaster there, steepest wooden coaster drop on earth, it was my favorite ride, thing whipped through the corners.

^ Kingda Ka was definitely awesome. And El Toro must be the woody you're talking about. The first time I went on it, that initial drop got me good! DId not expect it to be so steep.

Ferrari World is definitely on my list of things to do. But then again I'm a huge coaster fan, so any new coaster is a good reason to plan a trip. I'm also wondering if they ever got the F1 coaster at the Nurburgring to go as fast as they wanted it to. Last I heard they had troubles with it getting it to the top speed.
Yes, I know \"Artic\" should be spelled \"Arctic\". Can any of the mods change this?
