  • A very sad sight...

When you wake up at 5 am, (sad in itself) look outside, and the black car looks white. Because of FROST. I almost cried... Anyone else know how BAD Camaro's hate negative temperatures? Seriously... When you have to turn the key, wait 3 seconds, then have it crank, it's too cold. Thank god there's no snow piled up YET.

Dang that sucks. I thought I was gonna have it bad just driving my 'bird around on salty roads this winter (I get the impression most people box their f-bodies up for the cold months).

I don't know what is like. I'm still wearing shorts and tank top here. But I am almost at tears when I go to smog my cars, I don't know if that helps.

I thought most places with as much snow as you guys see would invest in an remote start system by now.

At least that's what I wanted to do since it started getting rather cold in Houston.

I hiked up Whiteface Mtn. yesterday just to snowboard down.
              I love the snow.

In any contribution to this thread, my Camaro sleeps in a warehouse in the winters.

Yeah, black is just as bad man.. And you really can't remote start a manual without bypassing the clutch. And plus, I'm broke =)

Camaros and Firebirds F*^* suck in the snow. But mine starts right up in the dead of winter when it's 30 degrees below zero.I would think that the majority of everyone on this site puts theirs away in the winter months(with a few exceptions).I haven't seen any threads about snow tires yet!!!

Well if you're broke, then this won't help, but Compustar sells a nifty remote start system for Manual transmissions... I have it on mine

Doesn't really help me, though, seeing as how my car is still in the garage in several pieces....

Look in your freezer, that's where I live. =)

And Camaro's aren't bad in the snow, you just have to have driven in snow your whole life, mainly in trucks. They're better than trucks, especially 28 ft long ancient Chevy's.

This will be my first winter with my f-body! The only options it came with are t-tops and SGS, the latter of which might come in handy lol

they only suck if you dont know what you are doing.. 200 lbs of sand in the hatch and studded snow tires and you can go anywhere.

but anyways, my starter hates winter, it has a bit of a tough time turning the engine over when its below 20F. im sure 10w30 doesnt help much either
