Re: The DI V6 is going IRL racing!
Is this a sign GM might have their own version of an "ecoboost" engine in the works :D ?In America's Hat!
1997 Camaro 30th 'vert... GT1 cam/C6 wheels/Flowmaster/HIDs/Viper 2 way alarm/Alpine audio mods up the wazoo
2005 Equinox LT... mostly stock daily/Thule snowsports roof system/sound + interior mods

Re: The DI V6 is going IRL racing!
If you don't know anything about IndyCar, then its probably a worthless read, but since I follow the sport pretty religiously, its good news. The sport has been dominated with a SPEC car for years now, leaving no competition between car builders, and since the engines are leased from Honda, you can't work on them. But that all changes in 2012, with only a basic tub being the spec, and unlimited options for wing design, and the possibility of more than 2 engine manufacturers (Honda is current, Chevrolet will be the new one to compete, there could even be others...). Again, if you're not into the sport, its kinda a worthless read, as this engine will unlikely ever reach the market for us common folk to buy. They're build for gearboxes and open wheel racing, not transmissions and under a hood of a car.1995 Pontiac Firebird
