Is this a sign GM might have their own version of an "ecoboost" engine in the works :D ?

I thought the "Cruze" was going to have something like that, but I'm not 100% sure.

If you don't know anything about IndyCar, then its probably a worthless read, but since I follow the sport pretty religiously, its good news. The sport has been dominated with a SPEC car for years now, leaving no competition between car builders, and since the engines are leased from Honda, you can't work on them. But that all changes in 2012, with only a basic tub being the spec, and unlimited options for wing design, and the possibility of more than 2 engine manufacturers (Honda is current, Chevrolet will be the new one to compete, there could even be others...). Again, if you're not into the sport, its kinda a worthless read, as this engine will unlikely ever reach the market for us common folk to buy. They're build for gearboxes and open wheel racing, not transmissions and under a hood of a car.
