I get to go in a Lotus today

I got in a Lotus Exige S and Elise. I didn't get to drive it though, but I got to hear it.

All I can say "IS" it is not worth 45-60 grand. Maybe 12 grand but not 45-60. It feels cheap and the interior looks cheap. Plus getting in and out is a chore and the seats are not comfortable at all. If you're a tall person you are in trouble. The exterior is nice though.

I have wide shoulders and if another guy sat next to me we would be rubbing each other, yuk!!

I wish I could've driven it. It might have changed my mine, but I don't it.

I've driven one... unfortunately it was just slowly around a parking lot. It was definitely tight, I'm 6'4" 240lbs, but I thought it was comfortable. More comfortable for me than other small two seaters I've driven, like the Z3 and Solstice.

I hear ya, I'm 6'2 and its easier if I just drive with the top down :rolleyes:

Dang, you 6 footers, you. Don't even think about getting into a Fiero. That's even worse. The Exige S is a hardtop too but the Elise is a targa. Getting into the Exige is far more difficult than the Elise, but since you guys are 6 footers that would be even more difficult.

The Soltice to me is way more comfortable and so is the Z3. I've driven a Z3 more often than I want to admit.

im 6'3" and i have more room in it than i do newer civics and camrys... seat adjustments are ur friend

I've tested an Exige S before, and the entry/exit is not comfortable nor is it graceful. It wasn't too bad once you're in there though. I'm 6'3", but I fit fine in an f-body. No where near having hair touching the t-tops. Maybe y'all have your seats up too close & high.

As I said I'm 6' and if I were any taller I'm pretty sure I'd start feeling a bit cramped and awkward. If I sit up straight and lean left my head touches the edge of my t-top (where the window meets it). Yes my seat is all the way back, but I don't have it reclined cuz I don't drive while laying back like I'm in a lay-z-boy watching the sunday game...

Yeah, I'm 6'4" and didn't have the slightest problem in my f-body. The addition of the power seat definitely raised my seat position so that if I sit up as straight as possible, my hair will touch the headliner on the edge of the t-tops, but otherwise no problem :shrug:

Looks like we've got a lot of tall dudes on this site.

damn fellas i didn't realize we had so many tall guys either, i would've never guessed haha.

i'm 6'6" and just have my seats all the way back and reclined some, and its very comfortable, but definitely eliminates the use of the back seats for anything but a gym bag or coat. my old man is 6'9" (yeah, we run big in my family lol), and fits just fine and he sits more straight up than i do.

my college buddy's old '00 paxton blower mustang GT was nearly impossible for me to drive even with everything way back, my knees were hitting the wheel and under-dash every time i shifted gears. but then again, its a ford ;)

i can say sadly that nearly every vette i've been in has far less room and the most recent c6z06 i sat in wouldn't accommodate without a custom setup. the new camaro and challenger srt8 i drove both had plenty of room for us big guys tho.
