Who the hell is this Justin Bieber kid? Evidently everyone else has been exposed to his music and ego, except for me (thankfully). There was a preview at the movie theater this afternoon about a movie that was inspired by him and is about his life "growing up". I had to ask the boyfriend who this kid was and he evidently knew more than I do. I guess in this case ignorance truly is bliss.
So then I guess the real question I'm asking is... what makes this kid so special compared to all the other "artists"? From all I've seen he's the same as Britney Spears, Avril Lavigne, Nick Lachay, etc... only 10 years later.

The last pop artists to survive the times where possibly Michael Jackson and/or Madonna. Other than that, this music, and its people die off FAST, and their music is forgettable. Its not GOOD music at all.

I dont think it's physically possible to agree with you anymore than I do right now, ROFL.
I pretty much only listen to 95.9 The River, based on that simple fact.

I agree. There's a reason I don't listen to the radio in the Camaro (iPod only) and haven't fixed the radio in the Z. Music today, and for the past decade or so, has been crap.

IMO avril lavigne isn't as bad as a lot of other young pop artists out there. She at least had a relatively distinct voice, compared to some of the "good" artists (according to my peers, not me) to come out of the last few years that all sound EXACTLY alike. (Sorry I don't have any examples to link to... then again, I'm guess we're all lucky I don't have any examples to link to!) But even Beiber falls on a tier lower than them. Last decade has been **** for music, I think. But at least there was Audioslave...
