Rally Appalachia 2011…You NEED to do this Road Rally!

Calling all car enthusiasts to Rally North America!

RELEASE: Rally North America’s“2011 Rally Appalachia” July 18-21, 2011

1000 miles along some of the most scenic roads in the country, surrounded by eighty plus sports cars, muscle cars, and other unique rides, searching for secret check points at incredible places; this is Rally Appalachia.

Established in the winter of 2009, Rally North America is a non-for-profit organization, aimed at bringing automotive enthusiasts from all over the United States and Canada, together to do to one thing: rallying. While other large rallies require unjustifiably high costs to enter and participate in; Rally North America or RNA, makes road rallies fun and affordable for everyone. Each rally organized by Rally North America, emphasizes one key idea: driving for a cause. There are several charities and non-profit organizations that give back to their causes. RNA believes that by combining the love for the automotive lifestyle and helping those in need, it is possible to do something “good” with the automotive hobby.

Last year’s 2010 Route 66 Rally, ninety participants raised over $3,000 for the Stephanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research. Teams started in both Chicago, IL and Los Angeles, CA, and spent three days traveling down historic Route 66. Each day was filled with epic scenery and three checkpoints. Some 2,000 miles later, the east coast teams met the west coast teams in Amarillo, TX for a grand finale celebration and party. Awards were given out, sponsors thanked, and good times were had.

Rally North America is fortunate to benefit from the professional film work of TJ Fry and The MOB Theory, who continue to document these road rallies. There are also a vast amount of large-scale sponsors who help contribute to Rally North America’s road rallies including CJ Pony Parts, and CarDomain.com.

RNA is back at it again this July of 2011 with another exciting rally, open to all car enthusiasts. Get ready to drive through the mountains and along the coast, as we ramble on through the 2011 Rally Appalachia! All makes and models of vehicles are welcome on this exclusive VIP scavenger-hunt event. As of now, we have fifty two cars/teams signed up for next summer’s rally. We are capping entries to 80 cars/teams; which means you can still sign up! As of November 18, 2010 we still have 28 open spots for the 2011 Rally Appalachia.

The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund has been chosen for this year’s Rally North America charity benefactor.

    http://www.fallenheroesfund.org/Fund...chia-2011.aspx

The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, a national leader in supporting the men and women of the United States Armed Forces and their families, has provided over $120 million in support for the families of military personnel lost in service to our nation, and for severely wounded military personnel and veterans. The Fund most recently opened the National Intrepid Center of Excellence to support the research, diagnosis, and treatment of military personnel and veterans suffering from traumatic brain injury.

    Estimated Costs:

Rally Registration (including a full decal kit): $150

Mandatory Donation to the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund: $25

Gas, Hotel, Food, and Miscellaneous Costs: Average $500-$800

    Rally Event Dates:

Mandatory Drivers Meeting: July 18, 2011 in Winchester, Virginia

Rally Starting Line: July 19, 2011 Winchester, Virginia

Rally Finish Line Celebration: July 21, 2011 Charleston, South Carolina

ahhh save up for it! it really can be done on a budjet, hence why we had such huge success last year! Rally North America believes it is utterly ridiculous that some rallies such as Bullrun or Gumball require a $30,000-$50,000 entry fee

You did this before?! I might actually do this. Im pretty sure I could get the time off work. But Im not sure I want to sign up unless Im sure Ill have the funds.
Do they let you choose hotels? Do you just pay the $150 + $25 and the rest is all up to you or is it all preplanned? Know of any other F-bodies going?

I need to go see if this is on LS1tech :excited:
(of course Ill still chill with my V6 brethren)

We've got like 18 or so spots left, registrations have been showing up really quick within the past few days due to the word getting out. I did the Route 66 Rally this past May that was put on by Rally North America and let me tell you, it has been the single best automotive event/activity i have ever participated in. You meet a ton of great people, lots of cool cars, driving, and seeing parts of the country. I would sign up as soon as possible if you are interested at RallyNorthAmerica.com

One of our many big sponsors is doing a contest and giving away two free spots for the rally!

We need more fbodies! I did it last year and it was my 01 camaro (the red one pictured above) and my friend Brian's (whose done the Bullrun rally a few times) 2010 Camaro SS. We are shooting for 80 cars this year...wow!

I really dieing to do this but I just dont have the money right this moment to sign up…

I believe the woman of the house is pretty well ok with this and I still have to talk to my boss, but Im sure he wont give a crap. Hell I may even get a sponsor here from work :D (are there any limitations on sponsors?)
