Saw GT5 trailer today, rally would be AWESOME, Nascar eh, I do like that there are more modes, but I've played the GT series before, if it feels like GT, then it is GT, so why buy another GT?
I am so dissapointed in GT5 that I sold my PS3.. I gave it a shot but like many I am sticking with Forza and Test Drive when it comes out.. Sorry sony but you have failed me for the last time...
Jeff ..
1998 Firebird.. Built 3.8 with a 125 shot.. 370rwhp,415rwtq.. stock tune!! sold
... has to be one of the most ignorant things I've ever heard in reference to video gaming. Reminds me of this thread made on Reddit a few days ago. Have you ever even played a good singleplayer campaign?
Half Life 2
Fallout 3
the Call of Duty series
the Final Fantasy series
Bioshock
Mass Effect 2
Portal
the Elder Scrolls series
the Grand Theft Auto series
etc... etc...
I love multiplayer as much as the next guy, but having grown up on dial-up internet until I was 18 I've learned to love singleplayer too... Regardless, I can't wait for Diablo 3 and Dota 2 to come out. 'Til then I'm going on year 6 of my off and on addiction to counter-strike.
Racing games are the only thing I'll play on a console anymore (besides SSB64 with friends). Thumbsticks help.
FPS gaming on a console makes me feel like I have downs syndrome. Aiming with thumbsticks is torturous!
I can't say I'm surprised Mogobs plays WoW, and that's all I'm going to say about that.
I believe bibber likes Fallout and probably a few more of those. I think what he meant was that he doesn't play the campaign on the Call of Duty series, and most of the FPS games that live on through the multiplayer. I never play the campaign of games that have bad-@ss multiplayer like COD. But I love the fallout games and plenty of other single player games. I think he's in the same boat.

WTF does that mean? I definitely don't play like I used to, just have too much going on, but when I did, it was generally with grown adults with real jobs. One was actually an instructor at Notre Dame ROTC before retiring from the Army. WoW is definitely not limited to one genre of individual.

Shooting the same people over and over loses its appeal after a couple of days. I personally prefer the problem solving and conquest over the repetitiveness of domination in a quick battle.

My buddies and I are having a new years LAN and the main game? BF2. Its just literally, that solid in a lan environment. Not only can almost any newer PC platform at least run it, but its fun as hell! We usually put all the players on one team, and put all the AI on the other. Doesn't sound like much, but 8 people at most versus 48 bots? F&^#in awesome.
But as I've said before, I'd enjoy WoW if I had a consistent team that weren't the spawn of trolls.

Dude you should check out AIX! http://www.aixtended.com/
It's a 2GB mod to BF2 that makes co-op vs. bots AWESOME. Just check out all the weapons it has- including the six-shot 'nade launcher, grappling hook, and a freakin ZIP LINE you can deploy across entire maps (unfortunately the mini-gun sucks unless you tweak it in a txt file). My friends and I have LAN'd with this mod a few times and we've made it a staple of all future LANs.
I could go on... Just let me know if you decide to give it a try.

Something you have to understand about WoW is that 2 hours of play gets you nowhere. Not to mention, I've ran raids that consisted of 40+ people before, all on ventrilo, yakking their heads off, for 8+ hours on a sunday for a rrial run of new content. And consistent teams are called guilds.

No offense, but to get to the point of playing with a good guild, requires way too many hours in the beginning. It's not that I don't want to play with guilds, or do raids, its just the cost of playing solo or playing with retards for hours on end in the beginning is daunting for someone who spends most of his time on FPS.
