Funny... Aamco did the same thing to me when the starter crapped out at their shop. They sourced a new starter from O'Reilly's and threw on their own $100 markup. Paying $350+ for a starter and having the car stranded at a shop sucks.

what gets me is its a remanufactured one to...like, you basically just repaired a broken one, and sold it back to someone for a rediculous price. I damn near got my entire engine for that price!! NEW!
who the **** rents cars for $12 a day?!?!? That would be $360 a month to have a car with no maintenance, no down time(every had an issue just get a different car) and unlimited mileage.
makes you feel better I recently paid $750(after arguing $90 off) and it took them 5 days to replace a fuel pump on a '00 Chevy Cavalier.
Also had to rent a car for 4 days(about $200) So just shy of $1,000 for a fuel pump on a ****ing 2000 Chevy Cavalier.
btw.... should have bought through advanced autoparts...
order online, set to pick up in store, use the 40% off codes that they ALWAYS have, and you are good, walk into the store 20 min later and they have your stuff bagged up and ready to go.

I honestly would of if I didnt need the car right away...but its 45mins to an hour to the border...probably atleast an hour wait at the border both ways at this time of year, and then another 45-1hour to get back home...plus install time. I was actually planning on possibly trying to get down this weekend to buy a starter for the from autozone or advance...but the car had other plans...just happened at a really bad time...literally, if this happened friday night or saturday I would be fine...schools over and I'd have loads of time to get down to the States and get the parts...

I did, that's equally as sh*tty...I would of made the shop supply a car if it took them 4 days to do a pump, that's crazy....it doesnt take that long to drop a tank, swap it, and throw it back up....
