Couldn't you just swap the whole engine in there, looking at pics of both engines I can see you would have to reroute ps lines, ac lines (or just get rid of the ac), modify the radiator hoses, extend the fuel lines to hook up to the l67 rail, and then just a bunch of wiring unless you can you a gtp's pcm.
There is a guy on FTV6 that did just take the M90 through the firewall and then do a 180* turn with it. To me it looked bad. We never heard anything else from him though, so I really dont know how successful he was.
And in a way, yes, you just have the cut the housing and weld a section on there. But the key is to make the section that is turning as smooth as possible and you pretty much HAVE to take it to the passenger side of the car. This makes throttle placement kinda difficult
Dont you all think if this was something "easy" that more people would have done it? GM did it, Merlin did it (FTV6), Jared did it (FTV6), and the guy I stated before did it. Other than that there really arent any other people that have come out and said that they have successfully done it.
If you can get an entire L67/L32 engine then it makes life a lot more simple, but it still isnt an easy task.
Yea, I figured it wouldn't be easy, but that being said I just wanted to know what all needed to be done. I'm thinking of what engine to use in a hill climb car and I wouldn't care how it would look. I wouldn't have any Hvac stuff in there anymore so I think there would be plenty of room to come back out on the passenger side and yea I know that a u pipe wouldn't be too efficient.
Turbos are probably about the same amount of work (if not a little less depending on how you set yours up), and yield better results. Like you said, the u-bend for the M90 is not very efficient, and the air coming around that bend can get very hot, and there is not space to run an intercooler on our cars. And like I said earlier, with a turbo you can up the boost with the push of a button (when I had my AEM Tru-boost it was so easy to up boost)
You can run an intercooler but you gotta do some big time cutting on the front core supports, bumper cover and etc.

Your car had a front mount air to air intercooler. An M90 would use an air to water sandwiched between the supercharger and the lower intake manifold. For the M90, you would have to cut the cowl area, not the front bumper area.

I don't see a 4th gen, even with a built or blown 3.8( or even V8) hanging with the awd cars with antilag in hill climbs. IMO, an fbody is not the ideal chassis for that type of racing.

What the other guys said. You run a supercharger intercooler, which sits under the S/C but above the lower intake.
And I just removed the front bumper cover and supports when I did my IC. No chopping required. After I sold the turbo it kinda sucked b/c I had to make all this bracketry to get a grille mounted, but I figure the chance of my rear ending someone are lower than the chances of someone rear ending me. lol

Like anything, once you sort out the problem and the bugs then things would be easy. Just like when Supercharger first came out for 3800 Fbodies. James at Vector Performance had all sort of issues, then once it's sorted out it became easier and easier. Now with HPTuner it really took out some of the issues. Same thing too with Turbos.
