Hey guys, I did a search on google and on here and can't really find an answer to my questiont. One of the struts on my Jimmy has a broken mount and should be replaced somewhat soon. I'm just gonna spend the dough and replace all 4 struts, but my question deals with the springs. Should i change the springs as well while i'm swapping out the struts?

Re: Should i change everything?
I would.
How much more $ would it set you back? If this is a car you will keep for a while and springs are something you would have to do anyway down the road.. do it now while you're there.Dave:

Re: Should i change everything?
is there a monroe quick strut available for your application? If so go that route. And always replace in pairs.

Re: Should i change everything?
just to clarify the jimmy has SLA (short arm long arm) front suspension. shocks and coil springs, replace both. the rear is a leaf spring design requiring only the replacement of shocks. do those, and check the bump stops.Team NoVa

Re: Should i change everything?
I dont see a need in changing the springs unless you just want to spend the $ or it has like 400,000 miles. A new set of shocks in the front and you should be good to go. Replace them in pairs like stated earlier, but the rear might be fine unless your having issues there also
