Its the same team. Hell, it was TWO ****ING WEEKS AGO. The Jets haven't changed in TWO WEEKS. Sorry, I don't buy that crap.

all you have to do is blitz the bears
And keep letting Forte run slants? Cmon....not this year. Last year, yes, but not this year. Forte is on his game, top 5 running back this year. You blitz, and Forte will be running slants all game, for 100+ yds receiving....easy. The only way the blitz will work is if they're sending 8 in, and having a spy on Forte, thats the ONLY way.

probably not, but i seriously doubt the colts would have done any better either
We only lost to them by three, AT Gillette Stadium. And the only person that lost that game for us was Manning himself. Nate will know the pass Im talking about, that pass should have never have happened.

    their secondary is terrible.
BETHEA??? Him, Bullitt, and Sanders (when he's healthy) are some of the best safeties in the game. You won't find a better tandem in the game. Bethea is EVERYWHERE. I don't have much faith in Lacey or Tryon, but they're both young. Not to mention, you're talking about two of our three safeties are out right now (Bullitt and Sanders).

he's the one who feels the need to keep using every first round pick on offense when clearly the offense doesnt need the help.
O-line? Cause thats what he's drafting, and we cant run the ball worth a ****. We have no run blockers, and thats exactly what Polian has been trying to draft (unfortunately, all our run blockers are terrible, we need new ones).

they dont have the peices to run it anymore with that secondary and very average line backing corp. they need to really draft a stud linebacker in the patrick willis mold and a shutdown corner, just doing that would make a huge difference.
The secondary is INJURED. Our starting linebackers are fine, but INJURED. We have rookies in there playing. The only positions we need help with is MLB and our DT's, POSSIBLY one better corner. Our DE's, OLB's, and safeties are some of the best in the game. We can stop the pass, thats not the problem, but we can't stop the run. Its been a lingering issue all season. We've NEVER had a problem with the pass at all, until we started getting multiple KEY injuries to our secondary. For ****s sake, our injured secondary managed to keep Sanchez under 200 yards passing, and gave him a 62.4 passer rating, but THEY'RE TERRIBLE??? You did notice that BOTH of their TD's came from Tomlinson RUNNING the ball in, didn't you? There was no TD passes by Sanchez, but Tomlinson was averaging a 5.1 ypc in tonites game. ITS NOT THE COLTS SECONDARY THAT IS THE PROBLEM.

These are the only problems with the Colts this year....

    INJURIES
    We can't run the ball
We can't stop the opposing offense from running the ball
    Playcalling, coaching, game management

Our secondary is the LAST thing we need to **** with, short of dropping Bob Sanders.

      Re: seahawks won!

Remind me what the point is of arguing over which team is better? I thought these kids of things got settled on the field, and then everyone just sort of sucked it up and accepted it.

THIS GAME IS TEARING OUR FAMILY APART!

the fact of the matter is: the colts arent that good this year. they spend so much time trying to cover their *** in the pass game that they get gouged in the run game. hence why tomlinson had a 5 ypc average. the linebacking crew isnt good no matter what you want to believe, if it were, they'd be sending players from that crew to the probowl, which they arent.

is it? because here's a list of their first round picks dating back to 01 on offense.

wayne, clark, addai, brown, gonzalez, and tony ugoh if i remember right was thier first pick in the 2nd round in 08 when they didnt have a first rounder. you have 2 first round pick running backs. i dont want to hear that "oh the oline sucks" crap because players like steven jackson, frank gore and arian foster run behind much worse lines than that and still make probowls and all have highly productive 1000 yard seasons. oh in that time of drafting, you've taken 3 defensive players, 1 i dont think is with the team (marlin jackson) and jerry hughes this past year. you have 2 premier pass rushers and you draft another one? give me a break. maybe those injuries wouldnt be such an issue if they drafted better depth players back there in that secondary. your rush offense sucks because your system doesnt get any running back the carries to get them in a rhythm. the proof of that is, look at the last couple of weeks when they actually put some focus on the running game, they finally came around and produced.

and did you really say matt forte is a top 5 back? dude barely eclipsed 1000 yards (15th in the league) 6 rushing tds (which doesnt even register close to top 20) and his 51 receptions doesnt even make him top 5 in receptions by running backs. he barely ranked in the top 10 for all purpose yards. top 5? he's not even top 10 and id go as far as to say he'd have a hard time being top 15. top 5 running backs dont get held to under 50 yards rushing 7 times (not to mention 5 of them were under 30 yards) get out of here with that.

Ok, you got the first rounders, but you forgot all about the other 6 rounds in each draft since 2001, which we've managed to get I believe 14 linemen. That doesn't even consider what we've picked up from free agency or trade. We've never had a problem with our running D until the second year of Addai, right around our SB year. Its been declining in strength ever since. I have noticed Manning throwing more INT's, getting hurried more, and watched our rushing become worse and worse. But all we've drafted from 2001-2006 was a majority of defense, ALOT of DB's, and quite a few linebackers. But its because we've always needed work on defense, even when Dungy was there. The Colts have never had sustained strength on defense. But we're getting close to having the defense we've been working on for 9 years, all while sustaining a high output offense. You're not going to get 12 years out of a running back like you might have decades ago, they only last 6-9 years tops. Addai is close to reaching his age of being past his prime, as was James when we drafted Addai. We drafted Wayne to give Harrison some better looks. You can't question Wayne, Clark, or Addai when they were drafted. We needed them, and they have worked out great. Dallas Clark is the best receiving TE in the game, no question, and Reggie Wayne is one of the best receivers in the game. You can't question the reason or spot they were drafted in. Gonzales has been nothing but hurt, and Brown was drafted because we let go of an aging Rhodes to help take some of the pressure off Addai. These first rounders were and still are needed picks, and there was nothing wrong with picking them up when we did.

You're also not going to rotate an offense around your RB when you have Peyton Manning. It just has to be a threat, which this year it wasn't. Arian Foster is the only legitimate threat on the Texans team, other than Johnson, and that depends on whos throwing the ball. Steven Jackson is TRULY the only person that could produce a positive yard on that team for a LONG time, and Frank Gore is in the same boat. Reason why Frank Gore gets the rushes is because the Niners simply cannot pass the ball. They can't get it downfield at all. All they have is Gore. Having the battle of the Smiths in SF can't be helpful in trying to create a passing game, which was completely non-existent.

I stick to what I said the first time, I have no proof to think otherwise.
