I've gotten pulled over 3 times in one week and got 2 tickets. My car simply will not pass. I need to keep saving my money for parts. I've been piecing my car together for over a year now to get this thing to pass. Its mostly the exhaust, cats, etc. that keep failing. Meanwhile, I need a sticker. Anyone know anyone in Texas (Collin County) that'll pass me? lol

Grab a cat off a junker in the yard and weld it on. Is it just the SES light that's is inhibiting you? -

agreed, rip a cat from the junkyard, and if its the SES you can buy a code reader for about 30 bucks from almost any auto store to see what you need to fix and you can turn off the light and see if it stays off... Ive deleted the code before and never had it come back, but then again sometimes its back the first mile you drive it.. good luck!Comment

No codes and itll pass.
They'll auto fail you pretty much if the SES is on. They wouldnt pass me with the p1870 code on the car. Its rediculous.
If its emmissions related they give you an exemption if like 3/4 of the system scans pass. If more than 1 emmisson code is present it'll fail.

find someone with hpt and have them shut your codes down (not just erase, literally shut them off entirely so they will not come on, and will not be seen when scanned)...then have him restore them after
