I think the general rule of thumb is if it doesn't flow with the car; if it doesn't look like it could have been a factory option, other than maybe wheels, it's probably not a good idea.

I agree with the niteshade notion, that it looks bad if poorly done, though, which is why I did mine in automotive paint. And no stickers at all will touch my car, other than required parking passes.

I have two stickers on my car. One on the windshield required by the state of NJ, and the other on the rear hatch window that automatically opens the gate at work when I drive past the sensor. That's it for stickers on my car.

I really dislike stickers on a car. For some reason, they detract more than add to the vehicles looks, imho.

if the person looking at it doesnt know its an f-body, dont bother with putting on a sticker to tell them...

Same reason I didn't put inserts into the "P O N T I A C" emblem on my rear bumper. (Uh oh some people will not like that I said that)

see. thats different to me. you are making something stand out that was already there. that to me (most of the time) improves the look.
