  • tick master first impressions...

So I installed my tick master cylinder tonight and all I can say is wow. What an unbelieveable difference!!! I need to do a tad more adjusting to get it 'just right' but if you have an lsx fbody I reccomend this part. 10/10!!! My ls7 clutch actually feels strong now!!! Next mod... car wash and wax...lol

Ive heard nothing but great things about the Tick. Did you feel an improvement when you went from the LS1 to LS7 setup? Im actually buying LS7/LS2 setup today :D

Did I?? Hell yeah I did. But my ss is a 2000 and they came with the ls1 hydraulics unlike the 01+ came with ls6 hydraulics... the weak ls1 hydraulics made my pedal spongy after the ls7 clutch install but spongy no more. So id say if you have an 01+ you could stick with the stock ls6 hydraulics but if you have a 2000 or below you should get the tick... you could upgrade it to the ls6 but for only $100 more you could get this beast of a master... I love it. The install was a pita cuz I have big hands and muscular arms. If you're skinny with tiny hands you'll have an easier time.

Mine is a 99. But Im going to replace all the hydraulics anyway. So Ill be getting the 01-02 slave, and Im not sure what Im going to do with the master. But after spending 200+ on the clutch, 100+ on the slave, 60 on the remote bleeder, etc. etc. Im not sure I can afford a 300 dollar master cyl...

The problem with my car is deff not a flow issue, because I can pump the clutch pedal like crazy and it stays fine. But if I go high RPM it gets closer and closer to the floor. And whats realy strange is that, I can be out of gear, not touching the pedal and rev it up. THen I wont feel resistence until the floor. You cant convince me thats a flow issue because I never even touched the pedal LOL. Im thinking its PP
