is it me or does gaming suck lately??

Ok I own all the current gen systems... have a modded out wii with every nes, snes, sega gameboy etc etc game on it with every wii game, an xbox 360 with a ton of games, and a ps3 with around 40 games plus a ton of ps1 and ps2 titles... and maybe there are 10 games in this bundle which are good. I just got 2 worlds II and wow what a terrible game... I don't know what to expect anymore... im tired of fps so I thought id hit this up. One of the worst games I've ever had the displeasure of playing. And with my let down from gran turismo 5 I may just jump back on the cod wagon. Also just got dead space 2 but haven't played it yet... hoping it is as good as the first or better. I am really considering selling all my gaming stuff as a lot. I could probably pull 2500 out of it all.. I really have a lot of games... maybe im just getting bored of video games and they've always been like this? Nah... I used to get down with some streets of rage or some old school Zelda or even some goldeneye or resident evil but I don't know what's up with todays games... is it just me or all games these days big let downs? Let's hear your thoughts. No need to respond if you're not a gamer it'll just clutter up the thread with arguing.

I just borrowed the orange box for ps3 from one of my friends, so thats humoring me right now, and i agree, all the games out right are garbage! im waiting for dirt3!

but you should try portal if you haven't already, it will get you thinking lol..
(not really a worthy purchase though)

Console games have sucked since PS1 far as I'm concerned. I'm strictly a PC gamer now, though most stuff isn't much better.

This is why I play MMORPG's over FPS games. There's really no challenge in shooting the same *******s over and over and over.

But, I gotta ask, how the hell do you afford all this **** anyway? A vette, two Fbodies, and probably $4000 worth of gaming stuff......is that what you did with a sign on bonus?

MMO's are always fun. I just started playing Minecraft on PC. I like it... I also play Knight Online. Been playing that one for years... but as far as consoles, Dead Space 2. Epic.

As for how I afford it... I save alot of money over deployments. I have money invested. I also flip stuff a lot... I am the kinda guy that will give someone a paper clip for something a little better... then take that and get something better... etc etc. I also do side work. Mostly electronic work like fixing pc's and mod peoples gaming systems for cash/ trades. A lot of the time the trades are video games or systems. I do a lot of side jobs like painting or small remodels on the weekends. I grew up painting since my dad is a painting contractor. I also hit up the casino and get lucky sometimes. :) I went to the casino this past weekend with 300 bucks and left with over 2 grand. The military just provides stability... I Hussle on the side. :)

I saw my friend play some Dead Space 2 (on PC). It looks pretty awesome, but I've never played the first Dead Space so I can't compare the two. I think it got really good reviews as well.

Bad Company 2 is pretty awesome if you like FPS's.

i had a ps3 since it came out and wasnt into it until last year...these days i have no complaints about the video games...thats why im sure wen you sign into psn im always on..i guess it depends what you play...try dead space 2 believe you wont be disappointed..but it would be better to play at night in the dark.....speaking up that anyone played amnesia for pc yet?

Not even close, but I have met people online on some servers that do that ****. Any kind of role playing (where you have to actually TALK like the times) is stupid, and quite hilarious to listen to.

Fallout 3 was about the last game I really got in to. New Vegas is a disappointing sequel imo. The new nfs game was disappointing too. I still pull out my old ps1 from time to time to play some original gran turismo or bond games. I'd agree that in a lot of ways game makers are focusing too much on the graphics and physics and not enough on the storyline and game play, which makes the game good in my opinion. Not to mention all the games now are geared for xbl so when you have a buddy over and want to play a two player game there is almost nothing to choose from. Not even nfs is two player anymore.

I got Red dead redeption and starting playing it , it sucks so far have to do stuff to get use to the game before the zombies start coming out. Dead Space was great, Fallout never got use to it so stopped playing. Area 51 was outstanding and I can't think of the others that were great to play without going and looking at the titles. I gave 4 games away to my nephews along with 5 guns for X-MAS presents to make room for some new guns.

Bulletstorm is coming out pretty soon, and the demo seemed very promising to me. But then again, its Gears of War mixed with Mass Effect and Borderlands. The last two were freaking amazing games.

And as for Amnesia, its awesome. And here's a youtube video of it.
