Re: Money question?
I have a feeling my post was the reason and I didn't mean to come off as saying 40k is garbage. My whole point was that it's all about what you're doing with your money. I saw kids in high school that saved every bit of money they had from working part time for $6.25/hr while other kids including spoiled ones spent all their dough frivolously. I see adults doing the same every day. You can live a nicer/more luxurious life on your 33k than I do on my income if you spend it differently than I do. Ever since I realized how much money I've wasted I started living SUPER cheap and plan to live nicer once I'm sure I can afford it and not sacrifice other aspects of my life. I love showing up in a 95 Buick. It was embarrassing at first but now most people just realize that they have a huge car note and I spent ~$1250 on a car that is old, but 100% functional.
Once I hit my next financial milestone I will treat myself, but I'm going to stay cash only for major purchases. There is no way I'm getting a loan on anything big unless I can pay it off within a month. I do have and use lines of credit, but its all for small personal/business related purchases.
