Man, what a let down. As much as I hate GM most days, I was kind of excited when I saw the commercial for this car. I was thinking it was going to be something kinda cool, turbo/DI/V6. Nope. Turbo/DI/Ecotec 4 cylinder?!?!? 220 flywheel HP??!?! Ummm, someone should have told GM, that it needed about 100 more HP to be a contender. What a fail.

No kidding. Same HP as an old FBody with bolt-ons, and a nice dose of turbo lag isn't very impressive for a 2011 car.

And Im betting that turbo is about the size of a baby's fist, kinda like the turbo's used in the Taurus SHO.

Considering the HP/TQ numbers and so on i would have to guess that this is a similar if not the same 2.0T motor that is in my wifes '04 SAAB 9-3. Istill think it's a very nice car, and I would not mind owning one. With that said they could have done better.

EDIT: Scratch that, it is a SAAB motor. just looked it up. They put them in the SAAB 9-5 Turbo Four.

On Sunday I bought my new daily driver, an '08 Lacrosse Super with the massive 5.3. My car will kick that Regal Turbo's *** around the moon and back.

Yeah thats a definate fail on GM's part... Less hp than the 90's GS?
Them cars are dirt cheap now too, I'd buy one for a DD in a heartbeat if I had the extra cash.

They were advertised at 303hp IIRC
