Moving out

Well its time I get my but out of the back woods and go back to NY where I grew up. I will be on Long Island so if anyone lives on LI let me know. I have found most of the info on registering my 94 bird but what do I have to have inspected to have the car registered, like emissons, abs, airbags and so on?

its where I was raised and forced out of by my parents. I dont like Florida and want to go back. Why wouldn't i want to go back?
Sorry but I hate the weather, the rednecks here annoy me, tourists suck and the education system is a joke here. I'm not trying to start an issue with the florida residents that like it here its just my opinion.

you hate the weather?! have fun snowed in half the year lol. i think if new york had weather more like...idk name somewhere south haha then id love it there. i dont do cold well

welcome! soon to be new yorker!!......in ny they pretty much inspect everything (depends where you go) but yea emissions..obviously they will do the sniffer test..check to see if you have a cat...check the safety..seat belts airbags etc....tires, brakes, all your lights..now if you had a obd2 car inspections take less than 10mins since they only stick a scanner in the car and makes sure there isnt any codes..

you can always try to take the airbag bulb out....and you can register your car WITHOUT a inspection...when you go to register it they will give you a temporary inspection sticker...i can remember if they give you a couple of days...or a week...not sure on that one....dont you know anyone else in fl where u can just transfer over your address to theres...move to ny and still have fl plates and insurance soo it can be waaaaay cheaper than ny....

i know people her that lives in ny and have a address in fl and they pay like $100 for 6 months for insurance...just something for you to think about..

well my parents are staying and thats where it is registered now anyway. It is solely in my name though in case you where wondering.

I will for now I just need to know what I have to save towards because I only have 90 days to switch over my licence and another 30 on registering my car
