I went for a school field trip, and the best advice I have it to wear something that you don't care about. And watch your head, especially if you're 5'8+. Being 6'3, it was uncomfortable, needless to say. Otherwise, it's tons of fun. Take some pictures if you can, I'd be interested to see the cave you go to.

I watched the movie "descent" and it was rediculous. I chalk that up there with as one of those thhings I don't understand why people do for fun.


I am not a claustraphobic person, and my job even requires me to crall in claustraphobic spaces. But after watching that movie makes me claustraphobic.



BTW has nothing to do with the scary monsters, was just seeing the people crawling through the caves.

I just got back. This was a really cool cave. It is in the middle of a farm near Ocala. You use a rope guide to go down a steep entrance to the cave. There were lots of narrow passageways and some medium-sized rooms. I want to go back and spend a day exploring the place.

I went with Boy Scout adult leaders group. I'm thinking of bringing some of the older scouts back in the fall. I think they might have a deal where the guys can spend the night in the cave.

Damn that's alot more hardcore than I went to... But I'm glad to see another person that's not ashamed to admit they associate with the BSA. I'm a Eagle and damn proud of it.

Got an intro to scuba this past weekend also. Also did mountain biking, kayaking, canoeing, and on and on and on.

Shooting sports (variety of handguns, rifles, shotguns, military weapons, black powder guns, archery and hatchet-throwing)

High-obstacle (35+ feet up) climbing, low-level obstacle courses
Climbing and bouldering walls
Hiking
Mountain biking
Geocaching and orienteering
Canoeing
Kayaking
Fly fishing and fly-making
Scuba and snorkeling
Lightweight camping (ie, back-country/hiking camping)
Caving (totally cool :cool: )
Wilderness first aid
