its a nearly 2 year old thread, the reason that one got posted? because of me too. if you dont have time.. fine, atleast get someone on the back side that does have it who can liven it up around here and update it. its not that difficult to freshen things up, even a knuckle dragger like wes could do it. :D
I can't tell you how many times Ive asked. Its like talking to a tree....

At least you get about 20ish mpg's... My '70 gets 11mpg and I need to run premium. Tough life! :P
Why would you ever want to drive that thing as a DD? Id say you deserve it. A car like that is a weekend toy, not something to be going to and from work/school in.

This forum is dying. I have been on it for around a year, and it was never anything when I got here, and now its just almost a waste of time to check it. The mods have let everything go, and our cars are becoming a thing of the past. I mean ****, LS1Tech is crazy busy with our type of cars, but this place is rounding the drain because no one cares. Its a boring forum filled with mostly people who do not have a great wealth of knowledge.

Uh, excuse me? I'm pretty sure when it comes to basic maintenance I have more than enough. I have pulled the engine from my car twice, rebuilt it once on my own, then put a salvaged engine in it. Everything from simple basic crap all the way to pulling the engine, I know my in stock form very very well.
Steve (SSMS) has had everything from nitrous, to powerdyne, multiple cam setups, and now a turbo build. If I'm correct hes also running forged pistons and rods (I may be mistaken)
Wes (Mogobs), as much as a **** as he is, has been here for frickin ever, probably knows a thing or two. Same with Bird of Prey, they know their stuff.
Tom Rs has started with a V6 rs car, now equipped with a LS1.
I have no idea about bibber, I know he has a el tee juan T/A, with red interior. And he hates the optispark with a passion. And thats just some of the people on here who have been around forever.
There are a lot of tards that come around and ask stupid questions, but all in all this site is frickin awesome. I don't even go to any other site, I know the question has been asked already. I just use it for the tech database, and BS'ing in the lounge, along with helping the few people who come around for advice. Never had to buy a haynes manual for my car.
With that said, if you find that you are talking to people who don't know what they are talking about, feel free to not take anyones advice.

I agreed with this post till the last sentence. There are plenty of guys on here that knows their v6s car in and out and upside down and have modded them out the ying yang. I think this forum is dying though unfortunately. I've been around a good while so I can't see myself leaving and never logging in again. Probably the same as a lot of other guys that already posted in this thread. Every now and then we pick up some new members.. but without some sort of reform or change this board will just continue being what it is... boring haha. But that won't stop me from logging in almost each day. :)
Dont forget about the 94 i brought back from the dead. A lot of people on here have acheived a lot
I totally forgot about the 3.4 you got. That was a clean well put together stock build!

The quality of LS1tech has severely dropped in the past few years, just as this forum has slowed down in that time. Think about it, these cars are at a minimum 9 years old, with several much older than that. But that doesn't mean there isn't a wealth of knowledge available on either sites. The archives and search function provide information on pretty much anything you could think of, and a lot of the people here have firsthand experience of that knowledge. I don't know where you got the idea that most people here don't know a lot about these cars.
