I'll explain this AGAIN - the messageboard (@camarov6.com) was NEVER the main intent of this SITE - it was an add-on to the Tech Database (@firebirdv6.com) which WAS the main intent. Many people don't post - don't have to when there is a "search" to find tech info on the board.
I didn't even WANT a messageboard after being on them on other sites. Too many whinny *****es. It never was what we're all about.
These sites (F/CV6.com) are, and will remain, for the 3.4 and 3.8 Series II 4th Gen F-body's - period. I don't care about the 5th Gen - which looks like crap anyway.
.
Now if you don't want 5th gen info, thats your choice. I don't agree with it, but I'll accept it. I think this community would thrive again with the info.1995 Pontiac Firebird

Re: sure has slowed down around here
the 5th gen just has the camaro name, they arent even F-body's anymore... maybe if they have a similar engine or something i would see it being relevant but oh well.
Like mogobs said.. regardless of first intention.. i'm sure this site has expanded much more then you intended it too.Wait, Is that a V6 or V8?

1994 JDM Euno Roadster 1.8L 5spd Bolt Ons.. etc

Oh yes it is still relevant.
"The world doesn't change for you just because you think you're a special little snowflake.......deal with it."
You all still don't get it. These two sites were created first of all to support owners of 3.8, and then 3.4, 4th Gen F-body's - period.
I see no reason to change that to "increase membership". Should I add 3.8 Mustangs too to "increase membership". Should the Firehawk and Comp TA sites expand to include other cars too? :bs:
If there are only a dozen of us owners left - so be it. End of discussion!

Re: sure has slowed down around here
I love when people that have been on the board for a year or so disappear for a month or two and reappear acting like they've been gone for a long time. Lol. Gotta love the internet.'99 Camaro

After 10 years, this place has grown significantly, while the FBV6.com side has seen little change in 7 of those years. It's this message board that brings this common interest we have together, this is the place that those interests are shared, and this is the place that has made this community thrive. People have built great cars due either fully or partially to camarov6.com.
Now if you don't want 5th gen info, thats your choice. I don't agree with it, but I'll accept it. I think this community would thrive again with the info.
I almost exclusively owe most of the work done on my car to this site...I got about 95% of my info here and my questions answered here.

Lets be honest here Robert, you could care less about the community here. I get that. But the info was given life BY this community. And as much as some of them piss me off to no end, I support this community as I have in the past. If you don't want to, thats your choice as it has always been. Nothing wrong with the people here, wouldn't hurt to get involved like you were in the past.Last edited by Mogobs30th; 06-08-2011, 04:56 PM.1995 Pontiac Firebird

When the sites were created we didn't think about the generality of the name - good point. Might do something about that.
Guess if I cared more I'd be online more that the 14 hours a day that I do now.
