What do you think about disabling the DRLs to save on headlight usage? (Explanation: You have to remove the front bumper to change the 7th generation Malibu headlights).
I've always been dubious of the value of DRLs for in-town driving.
It is just a matter of pulling fuse 46.
I solemnly swear I am up to no good.

I don't know the fuse number. But if the wiring is the same as G6s, which I believe it is the same. G6 guys upgrading to HIDs, had the problem if they didn't use a relay, and just used the factory wiring they would overload the DRL fuse, since the HIDs didn't just run "DIM" like DRLs do. Most just leave the fuse burned out and their headlights work fine, autoheadlights and all.
Then there are some idiots that just put bigger fuses in until it stops blowing... couple of hose guys had burning wire issues, go figure...
Do you really have to pull the bumper, it is a ***** to do the headlights on a G6, but you don't have to pull the bumper.
