  • My new truck

With whats been happening with my brother, I have decided to sell the Firebird for now, and eventually the Monte Carlo. Both cars are in bad condition, and I haven't been able to keep up with them due to the fact I have no garage, or even additional parking for that matter. Both cars are sitting in Indianapolis. My brother is going thru a bad divorce, one he didn't want or ask for. He did everything he could to make it work, to have a family, but his sadistic soon to be ex-wife thought differently. Unfortunately, everything was bought in his name, including a house and two cars. Because he doesn't make the money to keep all three of these, me, my mother, and stepfather are helping him out paying for a few of the things. He has his house, which he must keep in order to see his son, a 2005 Chevy Malibu, and a 2004 F-150. As much as he wanted to keep the house and truck, he realized that the Malibu was much better on gas, and had far fewer miles. So because he couldn't afford both the truck and the car, and seeing he kept the car, I am the new owner of an F-150.

Now, the truck is actually the cheaper payment, so he continues to fund the payment of the truck, while I actually pay for the Malibu. But he needed the more reliable car with fewer miles, so I get the truck.
    The good...

    2004 F-150
    5.4 Triton engine
    Black w/grey cloth interior
    6 disc changer
The largest console I have ever seen in a vehicle
bedliner w/ fiberglass tonneau cover, bed has never seen water
    New tires
    New front springs
    New passenger window motor
Meticulous records provided by the 1st owner during the sale, backed up by Andy Mohr Ford

    The bad....
    163,000 miles on it.

Ive been driving it all this week, it seriously gets damn close to the same gas mileage as the Monte Carlo. I finally have enough room to store the tools I carry with me to work, keep them dry, and NOT have them in the back seat.

As for the Firebird, Im not pressed into selling it, but I don't see the point of keeping a car I simply can't do anything to because I have no garage. The Monte Carlo is just starting to suck money from me. The Firebird is for sale now, posted a thread about it...

Monte Carlo is to be sold soon afterwards.

Yeah, the cover has been on the truck since it was 2,000 miles old. First owner bought it right after the truck, so the bed has literally never seen water, hence the bed has no rust on the topside.
