dont really post here anymore but im a full time lurker... was just curious if anybody has or knows anyone who has an equinox... im looking at an 07 with 96000 miles for $9995 and was just curious if there was anything i need to be cautious of or anything in particular i should look for...

I had a friend with a 1st gen one. Apparently there is an issue with the blend door where it breaks. Really common if you do the research. And expensive/hard to fix. Something about tearing the entire dash out.
I didn't look how hard it ACTUALLY was... I mean think of a fuel pump or window motor on a camaro.... average guy a nightmare, couple write ups off the board and they are quick easy jobs.
Just while I was reviewing them as an option as a vehicle, I did see alot of reviews related to the blend door. Its a minor thing, but no heat, or no AC can really piss a person off fast.
I'd also suggest looking at pontiac torrents, same thing, just different badge, and probably cheaper with same ore more options.
Would you still be able to get parts for a Toerrnt though?
Yes I don't understand why people think you can't get parts for.a.pontiac or Saturn. F. First off you think gmt is making new parts for the same year equinox? It's already been redesigned and is completely different. 90% of the parts are interchangeable with the equinox.
The sales numbers are lower but I don't think it will impact that much. And in 15 years it will likely have 200k and be crushed so I doubt rare parts will be an issue.
