Just wanted to say hi to everyone. Been going over this site for a few weeks reading up on the 99 camaro I bought. It's got some issues but for it's age and mileage it's nothing horrible. It's a Black Y87 that I picked up with 124K miles on it. Right now I battling what seems to be a common issue with these cars, studdering during acceleration. Still trying to come to terms with the cars power though. I sold a 2006 manual GTO for this becuase the payments and insurance was killing me...ah the joys of having a family. lol. Anyways, thanks in advance for all the help you all give. Great forum btw.:D

Re: New to the site
Welcome to the site. The stuttering could he one of multiple things. Id first check all the coil packs and if that checks ok check the plug wires and plugs. If those are ok do a compression test on the engine for a blown head gasket. All in my own personal experienced with the v6.#1:1999 pewter metallic y87 rs A4 camaro.check out the pics on the link below<br />#2:Bright red 1979 Pontiac Trans Am. Re: New to the site
stuttering isn't common on these cars...sounds like you have a misfire.
A $5000 cartuning turbo kit will also fix all your speed issues lol...bolt on 400rwhp good for low 11's all day :p

Re: New to the site
Yeah, I know I'm getting spark from the coils but I haven't ohm'ed them out yet. The wires look great but I'll check the resistance on them whille I'm puting in NGK plugs. The plugs look good right now but I'm not a big fan of Champion in newer GM products. DMW319, last time I was at WaWa I bought $50 in frozen pretles and got the info from the store where they buy them. lol, now I can buy them directly from the company.
