              Re: Earthquake

I slept right through it and woke up to my dogs barking along with all the neighborhood dogs were going wild at 11:50ish at night.

I woke up and brought them in and didn't think of anything else. It became quiet and there was lightning off in the distance from a nearby thunderstorm and I thought there was probably a big storm coming in.

All I have to say is Breakfast was rather interesting waking up in the morning and seeing our area had been hit on the news

                    Re: Earthquake

I felt the earthquake right on the Connecticut / Massachusetts state line yesterday.

We have Sales Tax Free Week in CT and I purchased new boots and clothing for this winter. One thing left to buy was a 2 cases of 12 pack Heinekens to finish off my day so I ventured to a liquor store, walked right in and when the tremor hit I heard all the shelved wine and hard alcohol bottles make this random clinking sound in unison. That was cool !

The sales cashier had this look on his face

A 1/2 mile away into Massachusetts, I fueled up with Shell Unleaded @ $3.45 versus paying $3.99 where I live in CT. The cost difference was due to my Super Stop & Shop Fuel Rewards program for those that live in the Northeast.

Anyways, I was lucky to contact my father before Verizon experienced any cellular logjams due to this rare event and tell him I was still alive lol.

we got a good ride, thought they were blowing up some big shizz down at Stump Neck proving grounds, but no boom to go w/the ground shake. My boss said they evacuated the Pentagon (glad I'm on leave :D ) and some water mains broke in there

I was in Virginia about 80 miles from Mineral. Didn't feel a thing in the car, but though it was interesting when someone hit the emergency broadcast on the radio.
