So I went to gas up this afternoon and I gave the clerk some money. She back out telling me that my $10 bill is a counterfeit money. She said it outloud for everyone to hear. I went WHAT???
She put a clear tape on it and pull it out. Sure enough the print came off. I was embarass. This was the first time this ever happened to me. I knew that if I took the money to the bank they will tell me that it was a counterfeit and I would have to bite the bullet and lose $10.00.
I knew where the money came from. Because yesterday at 5:30pm I bought a medium size smoothie for $4.25 at Jamba Juice and I gave a lady a 20.00 bill and she gave me a 10.00 dollar and some change. That was the last thing I spent my money on before trying to buy some today gas.
I went to Jamba Juice and them told that they gave me a fake $10.00 bill. They run their magic marker on it and told me it's real. Then I said to them exchange it then for another $10.00 bill. They said no, unless if I want to buy a smoothie then they would take the bill. I said no way, I want this exchange.
To make a long story short I got into a screaming contest with their manager who thinks I'm a liar. I told her to review their video and see for herself that her clerk gave me a fake bill. Anyway, she's not going to do that she takes no responsibility for it. She said that other customers have come up to her and told her that they got fake bills for change. I told her that's not my problem. It's got nothing to do with me.
To top it off, since I was upset she wants to give me a free smoothie. I just said no. I want my real money back, but it wasn't going to happen. So I left upset and told the customers their to check their change. And I left the fake money with her.
