    Re: Cleaned my car up...

I just sort of came across it.... I was relocating to a new state, living in a hotel, and I was driving my wife's car(she had mine) and it started having some issues, and came across this thing. I wasn't looking to get into another 4th gen, it had a bunch of issues but it was workable and dirt cheap, so I picked it up.

Right now, Just an aluminum smooth bellows, !CAT, !MAF screen, z28 30/19mm sway bars, poly bushings.

Has new shocks, clutch, but just replacement crap, nothing major.

I still browse wheels, and also considering dong a set of silver stripes, I keep getting tempted to do a t-top conversion. But I might sell the car off in the not so distant future. I really wouldn't mind an LSD, but don't really want to fork up the cash for one.

Toss some wheels on it. Those are easy to flip if you ever sell it.

        Re: Cleaned my car up...

yeah... I just haven't found a "deal" on wheels. I don't want to spend $300-400 local for a set of curbed up ZR1s with bad tires, and a possible dent in one.

I bought the car for $2k, and put about $800 into it... Clutch, flywheels, slave, heatercore, power window, shocks, brakes. Then some stupid stuff clearcorners and re-clearing the paint on the nose.

Wife an I are saving for a house, then we want to get a small SUV, and I get my G6 back, then I want something like this.

(actually thinking of picking that specific one up)

^why not find one with a 5.7L instead of the 5.0?

because I will eventually do a 5.3 or 6.0 and a 6-spd swap. The 5.7s go for a bit more cash then I want.

that car looks clean, engine/tranny rebuilt 5k miles ago. Car would supplement my 2k as a DD.

CL ad was deleted. What is it? 3rd gen? Or a truck?

                    Re: Cleaned my car up...

nah... hard to justify at the moment. My first car was an 85 Camaro

Have a new kid, and we are trying save for a new house, wife wants a newish small SUV. Camaros aren't kid friendly, etc...

Not the best idea to have 2 of them at the same time.

Though just made an offer on a set of ZR1s(which btw won't go over so well either :p )

Camaros are totally kid friendly. Your kids just needs to get a little older. Once he's out of an infant seat it works just fine. But who cares, you have the G6 for now. Tell the wife to stfu and drive what you tell her to.

First because I would never marry a woman that would take that kind of ****

Second, she makes more money then me, so she could tell me what to drive. You can put a kid in them but its not the best car, for carrying a kid and there stuff.

Ill probably sell off the Camaro. And we will pick up an suv later.

I am not a total fan of a fun car for a daily... I want a normal daily and a project on the side. Actually I want to do a drivetrain buildup first, then pick up a car.

I want to, but just came across another "issue" today on the Camaro... Its simple, my voltmeter is bouncing around, check gauges, and everything. Though my check engine kicked off. LOL (no CAT, EGR occasionally)

and that 3rd gen I had posted was kind of what I was looking for as a project car. To pick up and drive with this car, figure one will get me to work and back. :)

I might have an option for chrome firebird 5-spokes, the Zr1s I am looking at our painted. Wouldn't mind chrome, but more money then I want to spend. I don't mind spicing the car up a little, but its a DD
