Maybe a 305 but you didnt run down a healthy tpi 350 stock to stock. Healthy tpi 350's are solid 14 second cars. Especially 88+.

Take a trip to TGO if you dont believe me, but I'm not gonna argue about it here. :D

I wish I kept my 89 GTA, but they are not that fast.. sorry. They do run 15.2 - 15.4 in the track, stock, and your lucky if you can get them to go 14.9. That's not an impossible feat for our V6.

They do have the potential to be fast. They have a nice low end torque. My Bird is just faster by comparison when I bought it brand new.

My bird is beyond stock. I now have a PD SC.

1991 Pontiac Trans Am Convertible 0-60 mph 6.9 Quarter mile 15.2

Our stock V6 has more than enough potential to hang with the V8 350's of the 80's.

350 or 305? There's been many guys on TGO running solid 14's with the stock 350's with the decent gearing(3.27)

They're not fast no. But I highly doubt anyone with a stockish v6 4th gen can take a healthy one. After owning both I can say that with confidence.

Potentially of course but you cant go by those things. Noone does.

EDIT: All those had 305/350 options (87+)and no note of which those were...
EDIT #2: Sorry for the hi-jacking. I will get back to topic now.

Don't forget I used to own one too and I'm speaking by my experience. They are not that fast and like I said, they do have the potential to be fast.

We used to have a Kill Story section in this site 6 years ago and a lot of guys here with a V6 (STOCK) have beaten GTA's and even 225hp Fox body Stangs. So yes, it's possible to beat them.

Yeah, when his system set off the alarm on my car. I don't see the need to play music so damn loud in a parking lot anyways. It's stupid if you ask me. It's like advertising that you have something worth stealing.

Hey, that is a point of pride with us stereo users. I used to drive through parking lots to prove to people I could set alarms off.

I've seen plenty of 3rd gens F-bodies and Mustangs running high 15s low 16s at the track. I have run down a couple at the track in my Camaro.

I dont deny that. Those are the 305 guys... But I stand by my statement. Stock for stock 350 tpi's will not lose to a v6 f-body.

I have the ability to do that... I just know what the volume knob does. It's my second best friend, inside the car. Right behind the gas pedal.
