Have one but never used it. Like someone else said, throttle control does the same thing.

If it still spins in 2nd gear start you got some lousy tires or too much power to be driving in slippery conditions anyway and thats not the case with alot of these cars, lol.

I used it in the occasional snow/ice we had and it does help. Doesnt help when you got skinny ****ty tires though. :P

On my 00 z28 I just put the car in second. thats my 2nd gear start. I love it in winter.
