No one should bust their *** for minimum wage in a HOPE that there will be a better opportunity. You want something, you take it. I wait for NOTHING. Time is the most costly thing in your life, and if you want to piss it away waiting for an opportunity from the bottom rung of the ladder, its your life. There are plenty of people out there with college degrees flipping burgers right now, so you are not immune.
That's the problem.... People think if you have a degree you are guranteed a job. You only get a job if the skill you have is needed. I am not waiting for my skill to become popular again.

I didn't need the job there are plenty of social programs that would have paid for my kids birth. I was taking 18. Credits and working 40 hour weeks running a theatre. I didn't care much about the job, but i toookit and was a hard worker. I got up to $12 am hour and $1k in bonuses a month in 5 months. In the end I made about $12k, not much but good for being in school, and only working 5 months and prepping relocation with my new job.

You don't give a **** about your job they dont care about you.

You see people like you dont realize, that hard work pays off. I bust my *** now as an "acting lead" people give me **** because i am not getting paid for the work and i am loaned out to a seperate department so its not for my management.

Guess what I got a $3k raise others didn't, i am still up for a my yearly raise in feb. We just filled out lead self nomination forms to choose leads in our work areas. Hmmm..... Who has been working in a lead role the last few months..... Thats a $5k raise when it comes around. (btw these numbers exclude overtime.) With OT, that could be over $10k in raises in a year.

Where are the others at? Waiting for the money to come to them.

BTW worked with a guy that made it up to management, that started at same job as me but busted his *** and has more experience. Pay is $80-120k.

Guess what..... Neither of us hav bachelor degrees.

Despite what you were brought up learning having a degree does not give you a job. Supply and demand.

We learned quickly how useless my wifes anthropology degree was and she got another degree. Now she makes $62k a year working school hours, with all holidays and summer off, no overtime allowed. Which works great with our kid.

Its pretty simple. The data basically shows that the republican party does little to create any jobs or opportunities to the American people. Their interests in my opinion lie only with those people throwing in on their campaigns, and those of the wealthy.

Because democrats don't do anything for their campaigns and their supporters. Have you read about the NLRB current actions in the us the current administration is helping?

Either way it boils to two basic ideas statwd before. Dems..... Government taxes and takes care of people. Reps.... Let people keep money and take care of themselves.....

Fine and dandy..... But name one government organization that runs efficiently, is effective and does not waste alot of money.

These are the people i want taking care of the money?
