I wouldn't do it , risk of warping the heads because theres no coolant in there to cool them.

I'm betting there's coolant in there until it cools down, by then there shouldn't be any risk of the heads warping. Unless he had the car running when he opened it, I doubt any air was pulled in since it was all going out from expansion.
He said he ran it to temp, so all the antifrezze is going to get sucked out when he opened it up, since the thermo stat is open hes loosing all his coolant. Better way is just use the drain on the bottom of the radiator.

actually more lucky you didn't do something to yourself...
This....
Near boiling water would not be fun once it hits skin. And Im sure antifreeze's boiling point is probably higher than water....(though Im not sure). Either way, you're lucky you're not peeling skin off bone.
Gotta admit, pretty stupid.....

Guys, I realize I messed up, it was just a joke about a method of flushing it. I was impatient and opened the cap way too soon, cap blew off and voila, instant empty radiator!

I highly doubt all of the coolant just completely vanished from his radiator and engine just because he opened the cap hot. Only as much as needed to alleviate and equalize the pressure inside the coolant system with atmospheric pressure. If he put the cap on after all of that drained out without putting anymore in it would create a vacuum after it cools down. It's simple science, so I highly doubt all of his coolant was evacuated from the system.
Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
