Honestly, I don't think its too bad. It might have been a "dealer package" car with SLP parts.
Either way, if its one of those, never daily driven never saw rain examples of a Camaro with 50k on it. I don't think the price is outragous. Remember its craigslist too, always ask for more, because you will always get low balled.
Not a deal I would jump on, but not horrendous enough to make a thread.
slp did upgrades, yes, but not headers and upgrades like that thing has. the guy is clearly trying to reel in someone looking for a "rare" car and doesnt understand the mods.

Not on the SS, but SLP did make headers, and various other mods not on the SS.
I don't know if they ever did some special editon. It would make sense, put all the SLP mods on a car, as a special edition.
did slp cars come with an upgraded cam with more aggressive grinds? i've never heard of one with all of these things done from "factory" but i could be mistaken. sure, upgraded sway bars or springs, exhaust, and a few minor things....but top end work and a higher stall? hmm im gonna have to do a little research on this myself.
I don't know, I just know SLP did a large amount of upgrades other then just the SS stuff.
SS were made, a standard z28 was shipped to SLP, to be made into Camaro SS. For years SLP used to sell take off parts, shocks, sways, wheels/tires, and diffs. Not brand new, but less then 100 miles on them, that were taken off z28s, to make them SS. If they sold everything else woudln't surprise me if they made a few "showcase" cars that they worked with a dealer with. Cars customized before they were "sold" so it isn't factory, but it came "new" like that. If it makes sense?
Like the custom convertable firebirds in like the mid 80s, etc...
It was nice getting LSDs pretty much new for $100.
thanks man, i'll check things out around that way as well. i'm looking for an SS with bolt-ons, black or silver, 99-02 (the 98 ls1 is terrible), ttops, M6, and with around 50-75k on the clock. prices for those are much higher from what im finding. i'll stay in touch with you if i find a bite near you tho!
nice find!! you're giving me a lot of hope for finding one man :D it doesnt have to be an SS but i would prefer one. i would take that Z in a heartbeat if it checked out in person tho.
