  • Manchu Mile

I got placed into it from my unit. It's a ruck march across the northern part of South Korea to commemorate the 85 miles that the 9th Infantry Regiment "Manchu's" marched in the early 1900's. Luckily it isn't that far anymore. I'm really excited to go, being one of only 4 chosen from my unit. Just kinda wanted to brag on myself a little bit, anyways, wish me luck!

i thought it was a 25 mile march that ends at warrior somethin'.

The Bataan Death March was 85 miles if I remember correctly. I was at the Corridor Island in April of this year. It was a freaking awesome site to be.

They do it now for 25 miles, in 1900 they marched 85 miles. Good job searching on the internet though.

Ohh, Ok. No, I'm not in the army, but half of my family are and they've done or talked about this.

Let me show some of the pics I took when I was at the Corridor. Since you're in Asia hopefully you get a chance to check this out.

I am stoked to do it, it's apparently grueling, but I believe I am prepared.

Those are some sweet pics. I like the area with the cannons!

was 85 miles, but due to inflation & cut backs, is now 25 mile hump. take some good pics on your field trip, and let us know when to buy a copy of Army Times w/you in it.

Good luck flaming. 25 miles isn't too bad. We do 15-20 mile marches often. Have fun!
