See. I'll go 10mph slower in the snow because college really isn't the time to spend money. And who races in snow!??! **** man... change your driving habits for a few months and you're set, no need to blow money some of is don't have.
You guys probably got the wrong tires or just can't drive in general. I can drive just fine with normal tires but with snow tires it's much easier and I can keep up with any 4wd vehicle. lol, wanna drag race in snow? I guarantee you'd be in a ditch. Try and actually spend some $ on some tires other than the cheapest POS you can afford. Idiots.
I'll agree with Blizzard too. My choice of tires are MasterCraft Radials on my Camaro since 2004 and never got in an accident in the snow. With a full tank it grips nice on heavy rain soaked highways.
Problem with my local tire dealer is they're steering towards the common imports and luxury vehicles so I'm going online to take my business elsewhere.
Peak fall foliage here in Connecticut so Winter is not too far...

No one races in snow, and it was suppose to be an example college boy. The point is, with snow tires you have more control with acceleration, steering, and stopping. The whole point in modding our cars is for more control so I don't see why you guys would be so opposed to a tire that fits the conditions.

I like how you use college as an insult... lol. But I was thinking, are you meaning softer tires or studded? Because my car has soft *** 'snow' tires when I bought it and I couldn't tell a difference from those to my all seasons. But studded tires are ridiculous.
I had em on my 3rd gen firebird and still slid down the hill outside of Fort carson like a bar of soap.
I disagree with this 100%...Hankook I-Pike's ftw...I've had em on my car and driven through 5 winters with them...Ive been stuck 3 times total and that was because where I parked formed ice under the tires and the moment I put the car in drive the tires spun. OH, and that was prior to LSD being installed...since LSD, no issues.
I've driven in about 6-8 inches of snow on the roads with the car modded and been totally fine...only time I use SGS to is on left hand turns in busy traffic to be safe...

snow tires, especially studded make a world of difference.
if you don't agree then obvious you don't have a real winter where you are.
at times the highways here could be coated with a sheet of ice.. I would LOVE to see you on summer tires anywhere where i am from during the winter.
