From the reading, and context clues, it looks like he wrecked, or someone wrecked a 2006 CTS owned by one "3.4 slow to go" and was deemed a total loss. Upon investigation by said owner, it was from his perspective that the CTS in question could possibly be saved. The insurance company, however, thought otherwise, and more than likely paid said owner a sum of money to replace the 2006 CTS in question. Upon receiving said sum of money, the owner, one "3.4 slow to go" purchased a 2008 CTS 4, which will from here on out be referred to as "new car." From what the owner has stated the new car is equipped with the latest in infared technology, able to kill anyone who even thinks of stealing the new car. It also came well equipped with everything else, less the manual. Hope this clears it up.

i guess thats the story to this, i love the cts i thought the engine has an issue so i wanted to know. but he's failing on forum rules with is pics or it never happened.

Nice upgrade. I've seen one or two CTS 4s around town and wouldn't mind test driving one some day. Too bad they can't get that AWD system to hold up to the CTS-V's numbers. Would make for an awesome option.
