  • Sealed beam conversion + Bi-Xenon HID

Hey guys I just put a set of sealed beam conversions in my 95 TA from Ebay. The brand is autopal and these are really well made, metal reflectors with real glass lenses. These use H4/9003 bulbs.

Now the way these style bulbs are made the low beam in the bulb itself has a built in beam cutoff.

I am contemplating getting a 9003 Bi-xenon kit that has the true low beam shroud around the bulb with moveable bulb for high beam. A kit that uses bulbs like this is what im talking about.

Have any of you ever had any dealings with using kits like this? I cant find good pics of true bi-xenon kits like these that show what kind of output they have and how the low beam cutoff looks like.

I think I have pretty much made up my mind that im giong to get a set no matter what and if the glare is too much I will just aim them down accordingly. What site did you use to get yours from?

I was thinking about using DDM Tuning but I have this thing against buying really cheap but then again I dont want a $300 true phillips kit of some kind either.

I wont need any relays because I already have both high and low beams on external relays with the low beams staying on with the high beams as well.

Search LS1Tech for where to get HIDs. There's a lot of talk about them in the Appearance/Detailing section.

Theres kits on ebay for like $75 each, thats where I got mine, just make sure their in the U.S. , I got a set from China who ripped me off. I don't get anyone flashing me with 6K with both on so there not that bright , although their tilted down some. Good luck.

Looks like I might have to settle with a low beam only kit after looking at my headlight buckets. With the lights folded down the space between the back of the housing and the headlight bracket becomes just only enough room for the socket and wires. If I did want to fit a Bi-xenon kit I believe it would take some modification of the bracket behind flip up part. Ill try to get some pics tomorrow of what im talking about.
