Look up the impreza with the m90 remotely mounted. Requires custom lower intake manifold, different intake routing, etc.

Not saying its done to the car yet, as seen in the clip. But it can be done.
interesting...how would you get that to work with 2 intake manifolds though? audio doesnt make a difference really..

You can remote mount a M90. Just need some ducting to the UIM. Conceptually, it could be done. Practically is a whole different story.

"It ain't nothin' like a gangsta party." That's all you're going to hear.

Wow, we must be on the same page, because I saw this video earlier today and I PM the guy to post vids of his runs and more pics on his SC.

I once saw a guy install a root blower, I think it was an eaton, on a 3.1 V6 Camaro a while back. So it is possible. But his SC is mounted on the side and if you pause it you can see the bottom discharge side of the blower not mounted to anything.

I gave him the benefit of the doubt and PM him asking for current pics.

So far one 3.4 V6 guy installed a Powerdyne on his Camaro. I would like to see a 3.4 guy with a mounted Root Blower.
          -------------------------------------------------

As far as ignorance goes. I was watching My Ride Rules last week and this college kid with a 2010 Camaro SS said he has a Turbo. I'm surprise no one called him out on it, because it was clearly a Vortech. This kid didn't pay for anything. All of his mods were free and installed for free. According to him he was sponsored... I guess by mom and dad.

someone start explaining this concept...I have a ginormous hole where my A/C used to be...perfect for remote mounting things...maybe I can mount one for each of the throttle bodies Im going to be doing....

but seriously...what would you run the ducting to tb?

tb would have to be on the blower or before it. Simplistically you could just run a pipe flanged on both sides to mate the blower discharge and the UIM opening.

ok, so hold on...in my above link on the ls1 motor the tb is in the same spot...it looks like he is just running a pipe from under the s/c and bringing it to the tb?

Are you telling me that theoretically I just need to take some sheet metal and make a block off plate of some sort with a flanged end so I can clamp a pipe to it, and just route that to the tb?

apparently this guy did this for $250??

Re: The most idiotic Camaro owner ever

so like...essentially you would build something like this?...mount it somewhere in your engine bay...run a pipe off the back of it with your filter, and run a pipe from this adapter to your tb?

Yes, essentially. I guess you could run the tb after the blower. However, how you going to get good cool air to the back of the engine bay to feed it? The car in that link you posted also has an FMIC. I could see a cheapo ebay unit being handy for this. It's not rocket surgery, but you'd have to have some good fab skills to make the necessary bracket work. LS1 car's don't have the alternator mounted up high like the L36 does. You'd have to relocate if you wanted to get it in the same place as that LS1. Not impossible, but time consuming and needs some welding skillz.

I believe that's the same concept Jackson Racing has for the Civic.

question is...does the m90 need coolant running through it?

Pretty sure they don't have coolant running through them.

Re: The most idiotic Camaro owner ever

would it be bad to run a pipe from the back of the unit and bring the filter back into the stock location? Or is that just way too much piping? Also, Im just wondering, like I dont have AC...I bet it would fit with lots of room to spare down there...and it wouldnt be subject to alot of the engine heat?

lastly, can someone kind of explain how the m90 works? Below is a picture of what I believe is an m90

the below square hole is where the "compressed air" will come out right? so you would have to make a bracket like my pic above so that you could connect a tube there...what is the weird shaped hole right above that, and what is that other hole that kinda looks like it has a butterfly in it? what do those do? and lastly I am assuming your intake pipe would connect to the back of the unit as that would be where the GTP throttle body would normally be no?

the idiotic camaro owner, may not be so idiotic after all...
