hi all newdie buying a firebird good deal bad deal ?
hi everyone new to the forum. looking to buy a firebird today need input good buy bad buy.
2001 v6 black t-top auto, leather interior 30,000 miles paying no more them 9500 for it.perfect interior outside a 9 out of ten dealer will fix small dime size chip in rear fender. other then that new tires engine is clean and service records up . so what do you guys think.
Re: hi all newdie buying a firebird good deal bad deal ?
in my area seems can't touch anything in desent shape and mileage for under 15,000, so my thought is this makes up for a v6 instead of v8 because of the low miles.
atrum your from or in oregon right i am in washington you can see the junk they are trying to drop on someone most over 100,000 and still trying to get top dollar with lots of problems.
Re: hi all newdie buying a firebird good deal bad deal ?
Sorry but $9500 is well within LS1 price range. Even if that bird was turboed I wouldn't pay that much for it. Maybe 6500 in perfect condition but no 9500.
Your best bet is buy a honda and save your money.:spank:
Re: hi all newdie buying a firebird good deal bad deal ?
AND ls1's typically get around the same mileage as the v6's as hard as that may be to believe. Though you gotta run premium or at least its strongly recommended.
I'm with everyone else. Thats ls1 $$. I bought my old '96 for 800$ and I kept it going for 5 years. Turned out to be a great car even though it didnt go as fast as I woulda liked, lol.

Like previously mentioned if a V6 car is what your looking for I say go for it, I would never be able to find a car with that kind of milage in the kind of shape your talking about around here, except for maybe the one sitting in my garage. LOL :p Though judging by blue book value for washington state i would agree with venom on trying to get them down maybe another 1.5k.
Re: hi all newdie buying a firebird good deal bad deal ?
Really, finding a V6 for that kind of mileage is extremely rare. I got mine brand new with only 14 miles on the dot. To this day its still a 10 out of 10. Nothing beats a brand new car or low mileage.
I would still try and negotiate the price though. Post some pics of this.
